Ep. 19: Knocked Up with Dr. Ken Berry

posted in: Podcasts and Media | 5

Does Dr. Ken Berry think women need SOME carbs?  How about PREGNANT women?

I discussed women, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and children with my guest, Dr. Ken D. Berry.  Dr. Berry has been a practicing family physician in Tennessee for the past 20 years and has written the book, “Lies My Doctor Told Me”.

After having three Zero Carb pregnancies myself, I wanted to know his take on what women should be eating, especially for the health of their unborn children.

Disclaimer:  Our advice comes from many years of experience and Dr. Berry is certainly trained to give such advice.  BUT….this is the Internet, so we are not advising or diagnosing anyone.  Just discussing a topic. Please trust your gut and speak to a doctor in person about what you see in the video if you have concerns or questions.

That said, I think this discussion could be hugely helpful for anyone, pregnant or not.  But if you know a woman that is concerned about her diet during pregnancy, please take the time to share this video with her.  This information could truly save her health or the health of her unborn baby.

And if you have your own pregnancy stories to share, please leave them in the comments section of the video!  Thank you!

It’s a pity that subtitles are in Dutch instead of English (as in previous episodes). I am hearing impaired and need subtitles for understanding what is said in videos…

I’m planning to start Carnivore and I had a quick question…I’ve been watching a ton of videos and doing a lot of reading, but haven’t seen this asked. I hear about cooking burgers and steaks in bulk for additional meals. But in the past, when I’ve had leftovers of steak or burgers and I’ve warmed them up (microwave) they taste dry and rubbery. Any advice on this? Thank you!
